Cadillac Track Attack: High Performance CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package Revealed

The Cadillac CT5- V Blackwing is the most powerful sedan the brand has ever made and intended to be driven on race tracks, but now it’s stepping things up a notch.

The CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package is a new option for the 668 hp V8-powered model that’s been designed to improve its at the limit handling and cornering speed.

It includes increased spring rates, a larger front stabilizer bar and new suspension bushings to go with them. The front steering knuckles and rear toe links have been reengineered to provide a more aggressive wheel alignment.

New calibrations for the MagneRide dampers, stability control, traction management, limited slip differential and steering are all optimized to take maximum advantage of the car’s new capability.

It also comes with a standard carbon ceramic brake package that is normally a $9,000 option on the CT5-V Blackwing.

“We built this vehicle to set records on some of toughest tracks around the world and reward the most discerning driving enthusiast,” Cadillac executive chief engineer Brandon Vivian said in a press release. “This new Precision Package will enable the CT5-V Blackwing to be incredibly light on its feet at all speeds — both on road and track.”

The entire CT5 lineup has been updated for 2025 with a new 33-inch dashboard display and other minor changes. Cadillac has also revealed the limited edition Le Monstre trim that’s inspired by a historic Le Mans racing car and will be limited to 50 units.

What hasn’t been released yet is final pricing for any of the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing models, which begin deliveries this year with the Precision Package being added in early 2025.
