‘Relentless’ Nissan Frontier Rolls Into 2025 With More Long Beds, Higher Towing Capacity
It’s an oldie that isn’t just a goodie, it’s better.
The Nissan Frontier has been updated yet again for 2025 with new styling and features.
The Mississippi-built Frontier was last refreshed in 2022, but the bones of the truck date back to the 2005 model year, making it the “oldest” new pickup on sale.
Along with a restyled front end, the Frontier’s Crew Cab with six-foot bed configuration is now available beyond the SV trim and can be ordered as a PRO-4X or top of the line SL. King Cab long bed and Crew Cab short beds will remain available.

The maximum towing capacity has also been increased from 6,690 pounds to 7,150 pounds, while the 310 hp 3.8-liter V6 and nine-speed automatic transmission carry over.
Trims above the entry level S get a new 12.3-inch touchscreen display and the infotainment system has wireless Apple CarPlay integration. The 360-degree camera in the PRO-4X can also now operate at up to 12 mph to help with navigating tough off-road terrain.

And some drivers will have an easier time staying in control as the Frontier finally gets a telescoping steering wheel.
Despite its age, Frontier sales actually increased 17.1% through the first half of this year to 39,963 trucks. That makes it the third-best selling midsize pickup behind the Toyota Tacoma and Chevrolet Colorado and puts it ahead of the Jeep Gladiator, Honda Ridgeline, GMC Canyon and Ford Ranger, the last of those with reduced production due to a new model launch.

Pricing for the 2025 model will be announced closer to when it starts shipping later this summer, but the current version ranges from $32,020 to $46,190.
