Twenty-year-old Daniel Dye nabbed the final spot in the NASCAR Truck Series Playoffs with an eighth-place finish at Richmond Raceway on Saturday night.

The result put him 12 points ahead of Tanner Gray, who finished 12th in the race and just below the cutline.

His brother Tyler and defending series champion Ben Rhodes secured the other two post-season slots that were still up for grabs.

“I said earlier in the week, I really didn’t want to know what was going on with everybody else,” Dye said after the race, NASCAR.com reported.
