Cadillac Is Selling $5,000 Sneakers Now, But There’s A Good Reason You Should Buy Them
Cadillac is selling some fancy footwear.
The automaker has collaborated with designer Dominic Ciambrone — AKA: The Shoe Surgeon — on a very limited edition line of sneakers inspired by its electric vehicles.
The Celestiq, Lyirq, Optiq and Escalade IQ borrow materials and colors from the luxury EVs, but are even more exclusive.
Just five of each pair will be made and you might need to see the finance department about buying them. The kicks are priced at $5,000 a pair, but Cadillac isn’t keeping the cash.

The proceeds are earmarked for the USTA Foundation’s Frances Tiafoe Fund, which supports low-cost tennis programs Cadillac is a sponsor of the U.S. Open and the shoes will be available on September 8 in conjunction with the men’s final. One pair will also be auctioned on CharityBuzz.com, so the sky is the limit.

The Cadillac Lyriq is currently on sale, while the Escalade IQ and Optiq are scheduled to begin shipping before the end of the year.
The Celesitq is a $340,000 handbuilt electric model that is uniquely tailored for each of its buyers, so that no two will be alike. Several are in the works, but none have been delivered to their owners yet.
