It’s definitely the right color.

A vehicle purported to be a disguised version of Tesla’s upcoming Robotaxi has been spotted on the road in California.

An image of the vehicle was posted on Reddit and later deleted, but not before it was picked up by several outlets.

Teslarati was one of them that ran it. The small vehicle is shot from afar and above.

It’s wearing a yellow wrap and has several appendages to conceal its true shape, including a large front bumper and what comically looks like a pickup bed.

It can’t bee seen in the image, but the vehicle reportedly had a light bar stretching across its rear end that was similar to the Cybertruck’s.

Look past the add-ons and the vehicle looks a lot like sketches and design studies of the Robotaxi that appeared in Walter Isaacson biography of Elon Musk, which were of a streamline two-seat vehicle with a luggage area in the rear.

The vehicle was being driven in the area of the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, where Bloomberg has reported that its official unveiling and demonstration will take place on Oct. 10th.

Several Tesla’s have been seen driving around the area and may be mapping it out to improve the performance of Tesla’s Full Self-Driving system at the location for the event.

Tesla hasn’t said when the Robotaxi would be put in service, but the plan is to offer it through a ride-hailing scheme that owners of other Teslas with Full Self-Driving will eventually be allowed to add their privately-owned vehicles to when they are not using them.
