Old School: The 2025 Jeep Wrangler V6 Only Comes With A Stick-Shift Transmission
It’s a 6×6!
Jeep has announced that V6-powered 2025 Wranglers will only be offered with a six-speed manual transmission and that the six-speed manual transmission will only be offered with the V6.
The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that’s available across the lineup and the 6.4-liter V8 in the Rubicon 392 will come exclusively with an eight-speed automatic, as will the plug-in hybrid Wrangler 4xe.
The Ford Bronco’s entry level turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder can be ordered with either a seven-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic, but all of the other engines options only come with the automatic transmission.

Pricing for the V6 and the four-cylinder Wranglers are identical and the entry-level two-door Sport is now $33,990, up from $32,890 last year.
Additional changes for 2025 include standard power windows on all models, an optional remote controlled ventilation system that can be started from a smartphone app and a new military inspired paint color called ’41 that’s available on some trims.

At launch, the 2025 Wrangler will be available in six trims: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X and Rubicon 392. The 4xe, which features a 375 hp plug-in hybrid powertrain good for up to 21 miles of all-electric driving, Will come in Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X and High Altitude at yet to be announced prices.
