Ram discontinued its V8-powered light duty pickups this year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still get a new one. Well, a “like-new” one.

A 2013 Ram 1500 with a 395 hp $25,8205.7-liter that has just 39 miles on the odometer is up for auction on the Bring A Trailer website and the engine isn’t even the coolest part.

The truck was originally owned by a Mopar superfan who used to buy new vehicles, drive them home, put them in barn storage and then just bring them to car shows on trailers. It has since had three owners, including the current seller.

This one is a 1500 Express two-door, short bed 1500 Express which is a body style you can’t even get a Ram 1500 in anymore. In fact, the configuration is very much on the endangered list across all brands in the pickup segment.

It’s a rear-wheel drive truck with a limited slip differential, six-speed automatic, black 20-inch wheels, all black exterior trim and a cloth bench seat. It remains all original and hasn’t even had the work done for one open recall in an effort to keep it in that condition.

The Ram 1500 Express was as close as you could get to a muscle pickup and its starting price of $25,820 made it several thousand dollars less than a V8-powered Dodge Challenger. It’s still very much a real truck, however, and is rated to tow 9250 pounds and carry 1620 pounds.

As of this writing, the bidding had already reached $15,000 with the online auction scheduled to run through 5 p.m. ET. The cheapest new truck anything like it today is a Ford F-150 XL two-door short bed, which comes standard with a 400 hp 5.0-liter V8 for $38,960. Ram doesn’t even offer a two-door 1500 anymore and its lowest-priced model is a Quad Cab with a V6 for $42,270.
