The Last V8-Powered Ram 1500 Has Been Built
Turn out the lights.
The last Ram 1500 Classic was built on Oct. 4, a Ram spokeswoman has confirmed with American Cars And Racing.
Photos of the final truck were posted to various social media accounts related to the Warren Truck Assembly Plant, where the last-generation Ram 1500 model had been built since 2009.
Mopar Insiders reported that the final truck was a Delmonico Red Tradesman with a 5.7-liter V8.

That also makes it the last V8-powered Ram 1500 pickup ever made as the new generation truck discontinued its V8 engine options earlier this year and replaced them with a lineup of 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six-cylinder engines.
Photos and videos show that the plant workers signed the unpainted body and apparently the base coat of paint. The vehicle’s final destination has not been confirmed.
“The Ram 1500 Classic has been a great entry point pickup for Ram and the Tradesman model has certainly represented the needs of our commercial truck customers. With the introduction of the Tradesman trim on the new Ram 1500 for 2024 model year, we bid farewell to the previous generation and remind customers that the Hemi-powered Ram 1500 Classic will sell into 2025,” Ram said in August when it announced the model was being discontinued. According to Cars.com, there are still around 1,100 Ram 1500 Classics available at dealers across the U.S. Ram continues to offer V8 engines in its heavy duty pickups.
