Mystery Donor Auctioning Ford Mustang Dark Horse For Hurricane Relief
This pony car is coming to the rescue!
An anonymous person has donated a Ford Mustang Dark Horse to be auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Fall event on Friday evening to raise money to help those affected by hurricanes Helene and Milton.
Barrett-Jackson said the donor has worked with it on other charities before and purchased the car specifically for the event.
It’s a 2024 Mustang Dark Horse painted Blue Ember Metallic and equipped with several options including the Dark Horse Performance Package.

The sticker price was around $70,000, but there’s no telling what it will sell for as the bids at charity auctions often skyrocket well beyond the value of the vehicle up for offer. The entire price paid will go to Samaritan’s Purse to support its work in the affected areas.
Barrett-Jackson has several charity vehicles up for auction, including the rights to the first Cadillac Escalade IQ electric SUV that will be built this year. The luxury vehicle was donated by General Motors itself and the proceeds of the sale will go to the Detroit Children’s Fund.

“We’re honored that Cadillac is bringing the sale of their first retail production ESCALADE IQ to Barrett-Jackson,” Barrett-Jackson chairman and CEO Craig Jackson said. “This is a tremendous opportunity for someone to own an incredible piece of automotive history.
GM auctioned the first Cadillac Escalade-V was in 2022 for $500,000 and the first GMC Hummer EV SUV for the same amount in 2023. However, the record for a GM charity car stands at the $3.7 million that Rick Hendrick paid for the first 2020 Corvette Stingray.
