The First Cadillac Escalade IQ Has Been Auctioned For $550,000
That’s one way to get to the head of the line! The good way.
The rights to the first Cadillac Escalade IQ (VIN 001) were auctioned for charity at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Fall event on Saturday for $550,000.
The entire price paid was earmarked for the Detroit Children’s Fund to support educational programs in General Motors’ hometown.
The all-electric SUV is set to go on sale in the coming weeks at starting prices ranging from $130,000 to $150,000.

A black example crossed the block at the auction, but it was just for show. The winning bidder will be able to order their vehicle in any configuration.
GM often auctions the first of its new models for charity. Last year, the first GMC Hummer EV SUV was sold at a Barrett-Jackson event for $500,000 and in 2022 NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick paid $3.7 million for first mid-engine Corvette Z06.
