When the Tesla Cybertruck launched last November, it was only made available to reservation holders in a Foundation Series trim that added $20,000 to the base price bringing it to $99,990, but the program has officially ended.
On Thursday, Tesla’s website was updated to allow anyone to order a Cybertruck at the base price of $79,990, which ends up being $82,235 after mandatory fees are added. It had previously been reported that reservation holders were being given the option to configure non-Foundation Series trucks for orders in recent weeks.
That’s for an entry-level all-wheel-drive model with 325 miles of range that’s rated to tow up to 11,000 pounds, while the more powerful Cyberbeast trim is now $102,235 without the Foundation Series package. The Cyberbeast has a tri-motor drivetrain that can accelerate it to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds and 320 miles of range.
Both models are also available with an optional $16,000 Range Extender battery pack that is installed in the bed and increases their ranges to more than 445 miles and 440 miles, according to Tesla, but it won’t be available to be installed before the middle of 2025.

The Foundation Series included special badges and accessories and came standard with Tesla’s Full Self-Driving feature, which is now an $8,000 option on the Cybertruck. According to Tesla’s website, orders for Cybertrucks placed today will be fulfilled in October or November, which suggests that production has caught up with demand.

The new $79,990 price should also qualify the all-wheel-drive Cybertruck for the $7,500 federal tax credit on electric vehicle purchases, which has an $80,000 threshold for pickup trucks that meet the battery sourcing requirements.
