Tyler Reddick’s day at Las Vegas started great, but ended early.

The 23XI Racing driver started the South Point 400 in third place in the playoffs standings and on the front row next to pole-sitter Christopher Bell, but flipped the order by the end of Stage One to finish ahead of his fellow Toyota driver and playoffs rival.

Stage Two didn’t go as well.

Reddick got caught up in in a lap 89 incident when he was in the wrong place as Martin Truex Jr. squeezed Chase Elliott up the track and into Reddick, causing both to spin out along with Brad Keselowski.

As Reddick’s car slid sideways across the infield it hopped into the air and caught its tires in the grass, which flipped it onto its roof and then back onto its wheels.

Reddick was uninjured and able to drive back to his pit stall, but the car was too damaged to continue.

Keselowski was also done for the day, but playoffs driver Elliott was able to return 26 laps down to the leaders after repairs were completed to his car.
