The Cadillac Lyriq electric SUV has been a slow build since it went on sale in 2022, but it has become the luxury brand’s second-best selling model.
The original 340 hp rear-wheel drive Lyriq was joined by a 500 hp all-wheel drive version this year, but there’s more power on the way.
Cadillac has announced that the high-performance 2026 Lyriq-V will be on sale early next year.
“Lyriq-V pushes the performance pedigree of the V-Series sub-brand to new heights,” the automaker said in a news release that confirmed it will be initially offered in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand in both left-hand drive and right-hand drive versions. But how high will it go exactly?

Aside from that information and a couple of images, Cadillac hasn’t revealed any other details about the vehicle, which has a different grille and more body-color trim than the other models and rides on Continental PremiumContact 6 tires.
The Lyriq is built on the same platform as the Chevrolet Blazer EV, however, and the SS version of the latter is rated at 557 hp and 648 lb-ft, so it’s likely the Lyriq-V will have more than that.
The Ultium powertrain is also shared with the upcoming Cadillac Escalade IQ, which as 750 hp and 785 lb-ft, but Cadillac hasn’t said if that setup would work in a smaller vehicle.

Cadillac did not indicate when more information would be made available or what the price target is, but an all-wheel drive Lyriq Sport currently starts at $67,915.
