Of course she was right.
Joey Logano won the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series championship under unlikely circumstances.
The Team Penske driver thought he’d been eliminated when the Round of 12 ended at the Charlotte Roval, but a post-race disqualification of Alex Bowman’s car moved him into the next round.
He followed that up with a win at Las Vegas the next week that qualified him for the final and capped it off with a Championship-winning race win in Phoenix.

The season didn’t start off looking so bright, with the Ford teams going 13 races before picking up a win and Logano not taking his first Checkered flag until Nashville in June.
A week later he was asked if he thought he could win the championship and said he always does, recalling his 2018 title race when his only regular season win came at Talladega in April.
“I remember having the conversation with my wife just saying, ‘gosh, I hope we get through the first round of this playoffs, like, ’cause that’s how I though we were from a speed perspective,” he said.
“And all of a sudden it got better and we win the whole thing and she reminds me all the time, ‘you just remember what you said in ’18,’ and I’m like, ‘OK, honey, I’ve got you,’ but she’s right!”
“You gotta be in it to win it is so real with our playoffs. If you can just be solid, get through the rounds, win the races that matter,” he explained.

“If you’re around long enough for the speed knob to get turned up, it happened to the 12 (Ryan Blaney) last year, we did that in ’18, we did it in ’22, hopefully we do it again this year.”
He did just that and brought another eerie prediction to fruition.
Before the start of the 2024 season, Logano told American Cars And Racing that he’d left his teammate and last year’s champion Ryan Blaney a message in the secret champions journal that gets passed down each year.
“I hope you enjoy your championship, ‘cause I’m not gonna let it happen again,” Logano said.
At this year’s final, Logano was leading in the closing laps with Blaney hot on his tail, but was able to hold on for the win.
We wonder what Blaney will have to say to him in the journal this year.
