It’s a fast family car!
The 2026 Cadillac Vistiq electric SUV that goes on sale early next year can carry seven passengers in three rows of seats, but can also haul plenty of a$$.
The 6,300-pound vehicle comes standard with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system rated at 615 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque and it knows how to use it.
The Vistiq’s traction management system has a Velocity Max mode that adjusts the power output and suspension for the quickest launches and it can accelerate to 60 mph in 3.7-seconds when it is engaged.

That would beat the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing compact sport sedan, which can do the sprint in 3.8 seconds when equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission and 3.9 seconds with a six-speed manual, assuming the driver has their own Velocity Max mode.
Another model it will leave it its dust is the larger Escalade-V, which has a 682 hp supercharged 6.2-liter V8, but needs 4.4 seconds to hit 60 mph, despite it weighing about the same as the Vistiq.
The only model in Cadillac’s currently lineup that can beat it is the CT5-V Blackwing, which is equipped with a 668 hp version of the Escalade-V’s V8 and is capable of accelerating to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds with a 10-speed automatic transmission and 3.6 seconds with a manual.
There is one upcoming model that has the potential to beat them all, but remains something of a mystery. Cadillac has confirmed that there is a Lyriq-V electric SUV on the way next year, but hasn’t released its specifications yet.
The Lyriq is currently available with a 500 hp all-wheel drive system, however, that’s good for a 4.6-second 0-60 mph time so it will likely be much more potent than that, and another model may offers some hints to how much more.

The Chevrolet Blazer EV SS that’s built on the same platform features an all-wheel drivetrain rated at 557 hp and 648 lb-ft of torque and ties the CT5-V Blackwing in a drag race to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds.
Given the Lyriq-V’s higher standing in GM’s model hierarchy, it should be at least that powerful and quick, but will likely have even better performance.
SHOCK: THE CADILLAC LYRIQ IS THE BRAND’S SECOND-BEST SELLER NOW AND IT’S NOT EVEN CLOSE
We’ll know early next year right around the same time the Vistiq hits showrooms and find out if the V in Lyriq-V stands for victory.
