Georgia-Built 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 9 EV Revealed With 335 Miles Of Driving Range
The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 9 has made its debut in conjunction with the Los Angeles Auto Show.
The three-row SUV is similar in size to the Hyundai Palisade and shares its platform with the Kia EV9.
The Ioniq 9 is set to be built at Hyundai’s new factory in Bryan County, Ga., and the streamlined SUV will be launching with three powertrain options.
The entry-level model is a rear-wheel-drive Ioniq 9 with 215 hp and an estimated driving range of 335 miles per charge that’s rated to tow up to 3,500 pounds. There are also a 303 hp all-wheel-drive model and a performance 422 hp all-wheel drive model that have 5,000-pound tow ratings. Zero to 60 mph acceleration times are listed at 8.4 seconds, 6.2 seconds and 4.9 seconds, respectively.

The Ioniq 9 interior features Hyundai’s signature widescreen display for the digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system display, which is augmented by buttons, knobs and touchpads below it that provide controls for audio, climate and other features.
The center console has a deep bin and slides fore and aft for access to the two front rows, while the third row is large enough for adults. Seven and six passenger models will be available, the latter with reclining second row captains chairs and reclining front row seats that each have footrests and massage functions for when you’re charging the vehicle or just hanging out.

Hyundai says it will take 24 minutes to charge the 110.3 kWh battery from 10 to 80% of the battery at the fastest charging stations. The Ioniq 9 will be compatible with the Tesla Supercharging network and come from the factory equipped with the Tesla-style NACS plug.
Pricing hasn’t been announced, but the Kia EV9 ranges from around $55,000 to $80,000 and the Ioniq 9 is scheduled to go on sale in the first half of next year.
