Wow! The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Can Do A 9.6-Second Quarter-Mile
The words fast and quick are often used incorrectly, but both apply to the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.
The 1,046 hp super ‘Vette has an official top speed of 233 mph and now Chevy has revealed its key acceleration times.
A Corvette ZR1 equipped with the optional ZTK Performance Package can accelerate to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds and cover a quarter-mile in 9.6 seconds. That makes it the quickest production car General Motors has ever built.
Even without the ZTK package it’ll do a 9.7 second quarter mile, but Chevy hasn’t revealed a 0-60 mph time for that configuration.

The ZR1 ZTK beats the all-wheel drive hybrid Corvette E-Ray’s 0-60 mph time of 2.5 seconds and its quarter-mile time of 10.5 seconds, which is shared with the 670 hp Corvette Z06.
“The 2025 Corvette ZR1 yet again exceeded our expectations,” said Josh Holder, chief engineer, Corvette. “Combined with a top speed record of 233 mph — which is unrivaled by any current production car priced under $1 million — the Corvette ZR1 delivers on its mission to provide customers unrelenting power.”

There are a couple of American cars that can beat the ZR1 to 60 mph, however, including the Tesla Model S Plaid at 1.99 seconds and the Lucid Air Sapphire at 1.89 seconds. The discontinued Dodge SRT Demon 170 could also accelerate to 60 mph in 1.66 seconds, but only only when using drag radials on a prepped drag strip.

That leaves an official Nürburgring lap time as the ZR1’s next big performance reveal, but there’s no telling yet when that will happen. It’s been spotted at the German track being tested, but Chevrolet hasn’t said if a time has been recorded. When asked about it by American Cars And Racing, the answer was simply “stay tuned.”
A new bar has been set at the circuit, however, with the Ford Mustang GTD recently posting the first sub-seven-minute lap by a car from an American brand at 6:57.685, while the overall record is held by the $3 million Mercedes-AMG One at 6:29.
