The First 2025 Chevrolet ZR1 Is Going To Sell For Millions — Here’s Why
We know that the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is set to be the quickest and fastest Corvette ever, but will still don’t know how much it will cost.
Chevy’s 1,064 hp supercar is set to go on sale next year with a top speed of 233 mph and a quarter-mile time of just 9.6 seconds.
Pricing hasn’t yet been announced, but the ZR1 will sit above the Z06 in the Corvette hierarchy, so it will likely start at more $150,000. But if you want to be first in line for one, it’s going to cost much more than that.
Chevrolet is offering VIN 001 at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction in January as a charity lot. The full hammer price is earmarked for the American Red Cross. If history is any guide, the organization will be getting a very large check.

General Motors often auctions the first of its newest models for charity, and that’s especially true for the Corvette. The first eighth-generation 2020 Corvette Stingray was sold at the event for $3 million and the first 2023 Corvette Z06 for $3.6 million.

Both were purchased by NASCAR team owner and car dealer Rick Hendrick, who has a long history of winning GM’s charity auctions, especially for the Corvettes and Camaros. Hendrick this year also spent $3 million on another American supercar this year when he picked up a 300 mph Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution for his birthday.

The ZR1 auction will take place on January 25, but the actual car being bid on won’t be there. The lot is technically for the build spot and the winner will be able to spec their vehicle however they like.
The full list of options for the ZR1 hasn’t been revealed, but it will be available in two basic setups. The standard car is the one with the 233 mph top speed, while an optional ZTK Performance Package adds a giant wing and other aerodynamic devices that can generate a maximum of 1,200 pounds of downforce for improved handling.

Chevrolet hasn’t said how that package affects the top speed, but has confirmed that the ZR1 was able to break 200 mph while being tested on the Nürburgring Nordschleife race track, where it was spotted sporting the big wing.
