The 615 HP Cadillac Lyriq-V Is The Quickest Caddy Ever

The V is for victory — in drag races.

Cadillac has unveiled all of the details for the 2026 Lyriq-V, which is the first electric V-Series performance model. The midsize SUV features an all-wheel-drive system rated at 615 hp and 650 lb-ft.

The Lyriq-V is equipped has a lowered suspension with computer-controlled dampers, Brembo front brake calipers, 22-inch wheels with standard summer performance tires and signature interior and exterior synthesized sounds.

A Competition Mode for the traction management system is available for maximum performance, while a V-Max launch control allows it to accelerate to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds, making it the quickest Cadillac ever in that metric.

“LYRIQ-V brings luxury, technology and performance together to push its capabilities to the limit,” Dave Stutzman, LYRIQ-V chief engineer said in a news release. “With the combination of its rigid body structure and lower center of gravity, our team was able to improve the suspension to achieve the right level of precision and isolation, adding to its outstanding canyon-carving abilities.”

Interior touches include V-Series trim and front sport seats with adjustable bolsters. The Lyriq-V also comes standard with Cadillac’s Super Cruise hands-free highway driving assist feature, full fixed glass roof, a 23-speaker AKG Studio audio system and a head-up display.

The driving range is an estimated 285 miles per charge and the battery pack can be filled to 80% ad a DC fast charging station in approximately 41 minutes.

Pricing for the Lyriq-V starts at $79,990 and production is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2025. The standard Lyriq was Cadillac’s second-best selling model behind the Escalade in 2024, with 28,402 delivered.
