It’s going to run out of room for stickers!

Chevrolet has announced that the upcoming 2025 Corvette ZR1 has set production car lap records at 5 U.S. race tracks.

The 1,064 hp supercar is now the king of the Watkins Glen Long Course (1.52.,7), Road America (2:08.6), Road Atlanta (1:22.8) the Virginia International Raceway Full Course (1:47.7) and the Virginia International Raceway Grand Course (2:32.3).

The last of those would put it at the top of Car And Driver’s benchmark Lightning Lap list ahead of the million-dollar 2019 McLaren Senna’s 2:34.9 mark, but Chevrolet’s time was achieved in a closed test session and not during the annual Car And Driver event at the track.

The car used were equipped with the optional high-downforce ZTK performance package, which also includes updated suspension tuning and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R ZP tires. Chevrolet added a celebratory sticker for each record on the car’s door.

The standard low downforce version of the ZR1 previously became the fastest production car ever made by a mainstream U.S. brand by hitting a 233 mph top speed at a testing facility in Germany with GM President Mark Reuss at the wheel. With a 2.3-second 0-60 mph acceleration time and a 9.6-second quarter-mile, it is also the quickest car GM has ever made.

We expect more track results to follow and still await the big one. Chevrolet has yet to release a time for the ZR1 on Germany’s Nürburgring Nordschchleife, where the Ford Mustang GTD last year posted a 6:57.685 to become the first car from an American brand to break the seven-minute barrier.
