The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette may be the most expensive car bargain ever.

The 1,064 hp ZR1 coupe has a starting price of $174,995, which isn’t exactly cheap, but is a fraction of what cars with similar power and performance cost.

The ZR1 has a top speed of 233 mph, making it the fastest car that cost less than a million dollars, and can cover a quarter-mile in a blistering 9.6 seconds.

ZR1 production is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of this year, but the configurator is now live on Chevy’s website and dealers are accepting orders.

A convertible starts at $184,995 and jumping from the entry-level 1LZ trim to the 3LZ trim, which adds creature comforts like better seats and an upgraded audio system, is $10,000 on either it or the coupe. There are a few add-ons that can increase the price quite a bit more than that, however.

The ZTK performance package that adds a retuned adaptive suspension and high performance summer tires costs just $1,500, but you have to bundle it with an $8,495 ZR1 Carbon Fiber Aero Package that adds a high-downforce rear wing and other body modifications. You’ll need that if you want to try to match the record lap times the ZR1 has set at Road America, Virginia International Raceway and Road Atlanta.

But its most expensive option is a set of carbon fiber wheels that measures 20″ x 10″ up front and 21″ x 13″ in the rear and is priced at $13,995.

Go nuts with all of the options, including stripe graphics and brake caliper colors, and it’s possible to spec a ZR1 to more that $230,000, which might still be a pretty good deal if speed is the name of your game.
