The 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Backcountry Is A Fancier Off-Roader

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe Sahara is heading into new territory.

Jeep has revealed the 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Backcountry, which adds off-road gear and accessories to the luxury-oriented Sahara trim.

The Backcountry gets steel bumpers, rock rails a grill guard and General Grabber A/T tires on trim-specific 20-inch wheels.

Hood, fender and tailgate graphics feature a topographical map design and a body-color hardtop is standard.

Additional equipment includes a front TrailCam, trailer tow package, nine-speaker Alpine audio system and rubber slush mats. The Backcountry also comes with the Jeep Power Box, which plugs into the charge port to use the vehicle’s hybrid battery to power small electrical equipment through two 120-volt, 15-amp duplex outlets.

Jeep didn’t change the powertrain, which combines a turbocharged four-cylinder with electric drive to provide up to 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque plus 21 miles of all-electric driving on a full charge.

Pricing starts at $66,185 compared to $59,590 for a standard Wrangler 4xe Sahara. Jeep is limiting the Backcountry to 5,800 units and the order books are now open.
