Donald Trump is going to be kicking Tesla tires today.

The U.S. President posted a note of support for his cost-cutting advisor, Elon Musk, on social media early Tuesday morning, after a week of protests and several violent acts of vandalism targeted Tesla stores and privately owned vehicles.

“To Republicans, Conservatives, and all great Americans, Elon Musk is “putting it on the line” in order to help our Nation, and he is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! But the Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World’s great automakers, and Elon’s “baby,” in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for,” Trump wrote.

“They tried to do it to me at the 2024 Presidential Ballot Box, but how did that work out? In any event, I’m going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence and support for Elon Musk, a truly great American. Why should he be punished for putting his tremendous skills to work in order to help MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN???

Trump missed the morning target, but during the daily White House briefing early in the afternoon, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said a car was on the way to the executive mansion.

“I have heard the president remark that he misses being able to drive, the luxury of driving his own vehicle, llthough The Beast [the presidential limousine] is nice,” Leavitt said. “He is going to be viewing a Tesla that is making its way to the White House complex now, I can confirm.”

Leavitt then responded to to a reporter who asked, “if he likes it, he’s just going to buy it?

“He’s definitely going to buy one, but he’ll take a look at it when it gets here. So, yes, full market price.”

She did not clarify which model was on the way or from where it was coming. Tesla has one showroom in Washington, D.C., that is located in the Georgetown neighborhood less than two miles from The White House.
