Exclusive: Donald Trump’s Old Ferrari F430 Sold For $999,999

When Donald Trump hosted Elon Musk and a fleet of Teslas at The White House on Tuesday, the president said, “like to drive cars, but I’m not allowed to.”
U.S. Secret Service security protocol prevents the president from getting behind the wheel of a car, although Joe Biden managed to sneak a ride in his old Corvette at a secure facility for a segment on the “Jay Leno’s Garage” show.
Prior to entering politics, Trump owned a long line of luxury cars befitting a real estate mogul that included Rolls-Royces, Mercedes-Benz and Cadillacs.
One of them was a unique 1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster painted Blue Le Mans once owned by Trump that was sold at the 2024 Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale for $1.1 million, or roughly twice what it would have been worth had he not owned it.

This year, it was Trump’s old 2007 Ferrari F430 that was put up for grabs online By Rockstar Car Auctions in January. The red over tan coupe is far more common than the Lamborghini and can typically be had for near its original list price at $175,000 without a celebrity provenance, but this one went for a bit more than that when the auction ended on March 9. Rockstar has confirmed with American Cars And Racing that the car sold for $999,999 to a buyer who wishes to remain anonymous for now.

Trump told Elon Musk that he was going to buy a Tesla Model S Plaid like one that was at The White House, which he would let his staff drive. The Model S Plaid has a list price of $87,990 and can accelerate to 60 mph in 1.99 seconds, according to Tesla, which would blow away the F430’s official time of 3.9 seconds.
This story was updated after the auctioneer’s representative clarified that the price was $999,999 and not the original $999,000 that was shared and reported
