2026 IndyCar Grand Prix Of Arlington Dates Set

They’re going to have to change the name of the town to IndyCar-lington.
IndyCar has confirmed the dates for the inaugural Grand Prix of Arlington in Texas.
The event will take place on a street circuit that winds through the properties of AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field where the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers play.
The race weekend will be March 13-15, with practice on Friday, qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday.
It’s the first race of the 2026 season with announced dates, other than the Memorial Day weekend running of the Indy 500, but would fall between the season-opening Grand Prix of St. Petersburg and The Thermal Club IndyCar Grand Prix if it were being held this year.

The track length measures 2.73 miles over 14 turns and includes a .9-mile straight that will be the longest on any IndyCar street or road course. It will feature a double-sided pit lane similar to what has been used at the Detroit Grand Prix since it moved downtown two years ago.

IndyCar scheduled the Arlington race to fit between the NFL and MLB seasons to reduce any disruptions for Cowboys and Rangers fans. It effectively takes the spot on the schedule once held by nearby Texas Motor Speedway where IndyCar last raced in 2023.
