And you thought you had a tough truck.

The Ram 1500 was updated for 2025 and with it there’s a new bulletproof version of the full-size pickup. It’s not from the factory, but is built by armored vehicle specialist Inkas.

The truck looks mostly stock from the outside, but is built with reinforced steel panels and ballistic glass offering up to BR6 levels of protection. That’s strong enough to withstand fire from a 7.62 mm caliber rifle or hand grenade.

Tesla pitches the Cybertruck’s stainless steel body as being bulletproof, but it isn’t officially rated as such and the pickup does not come with true bulletproof glass.

Armored overlaps are built into the Ram’s door openings to close off any seams that bullets and shrapnel might slip through. The driver’s window still opens, however, and the others can be made to. The rear bulkhead between the cabin and bed is also heavily protected along with the fuel tank. Polycarbonate inserts in the tires provide run-flat capability.

Pricing starts at $120,000 for a crew cab Ram powered by the models’ new 420 hp 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder engine, but the company can customize the truck for each customer. Additional options include engine bay armoring, a fire suppression system, a sealed cabin with oxygen system and night vision camera.

If Ram’s aren’t your thing, Inkas offers similar builds for the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500 and Toyota Tundra, but not the Ford F-150. The company has not responded to a request for more information as to why an F-150 isn’t available, but the truck uniquely features a passenger cab that is fully constructed from aluminum without any steel.
