Ford Just Slashed Its Prices In Response To Tariffs — Here’s The Deal

Ford’s response to the Trump administration’s new 25% tariff on imported cars is lower prices.
The automaker has announced that it is extending its discounted employee pricing program to all customers who place an order on a new vehicle or purchase one from dealer inventory through June 2.
The deal applies to the 2024 and 2025 Ford Mustang, Escape, Bronco, Bronco Sport, F-150, F-150 Lightning, Mustang Mach-E, Maverick, Ranger, Transit and E-Transit, along with the Lincoln Corsair and Nautilus. 2024 Ford Super Duty pickups (not chassis cabs), Expeditions and Lincoln Navigator are also included, as are the 2025 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator.
The Ford F-150 Raptor, Bronco Raptor, Mustang Dark Horse and Mustang GTD are excluded from the offer.
The size of the discount varies by vehicle, but brings the MSRP below the dealer invoice price. A Ford spokesman told American Cars And Racing that the discount could be as much as $4,000, depending on the model, and can be combined with other offers.

“This From America, For America program is a testament to our commitment to assembling where we sell. It’s a way for us to give back to the communities that have supported us for generations,” Ford director of U.S. sales and dealer relations Rob Kaffl said in an online post on the program.

Ford is better isolated against the immediate effects of the tariffs than some automakers, as approximately 80% of the vehicles it sells domestically are assembled in the U.S.. That puts it second among full-line automakers only to Tesla, which builds 100% of the vehicles it sells in the U.S. locally. However, additional tariffs on major components, including engines and electrical systems, are scheduled to be implemented in May that will affect production costs for many US-built vehicles across all brands.
