Cadillac’s first gas-powered three-row crossover SUV will be its last. The luxury automaker has confirmed that it is discontinuing the XT6 at the end of 2025.

CNBC first reported the news and it has been confirmed by Cadillac, which has set a course toward becoming an all-electric brand.

“Cadillac has introduced six new products in less than a year that represent the future of the brand,” the company said in a statement. “We will continue to make the necessary adjustments to the portfolio to maintain growth in critical luxury segments.”

Cadillac sold 20,225 of the Tennessee-built XT6s in 2024, which was the lowest figure for all of its SUVs.

The XT6, which first went on sale in 2020 is effectively being replaced this year by the similarly sized electric Vistiq that is built alongside it at the Spring Hill factory.

Cadillac ended production of the compact XT4 this year and it looks like XT5 production is slated to end in 2026. The electric Lyriq that shares the midsize segment with the XT5 became Cadillac’s second-best seller last year with 28,402 deliveries compared to the XT5’s 26,432.

The XT4’s slot is being filled by the Optiq that’s starting to fill dealer lots now, while deliveries of the electric Escalade IQ are also underway, even as the internal combustion engine Escalade remains the brand’s top selling model.

Aside from the Mexican-built Optiq, all of Cadillac’s models, including the CT4 and CT5 sedans, are built in the U.S. and exempt from the new import tariffs on foreign-made automobiles.
