There ain’t nothing like NASCAR’s shiny machines and some of them are heading to Panama.

The NASCAR Mexico Series will hold it and NASCAR’s first ever race in Panama this September 13.

The event will take place on the 1.55-mile Autódromo Panamá road course, which is situated about 35 miles outside of Panama City.

The Mexico Series was featured during the 2024 NASCAR Clash at the Coliseum weekend in Los Angeles, when Mexico-born Daniel Suarez returned to his old series and won the race.

“This inaugural race in Panama not only expands the series’ geographic footprint but also reflects the growing popularity of motorsports in Latin America. It marks a significant step for the region, highlighting Panama’s emergence as a competitive destination for international racing,” NASCAR said in a news release.

The series uses cars that look similar to those used in NASCARs U.S. series, but have less horsepower with their 350 cubic-inch V8s tuned to 400 hp.

The NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series will be racing in Mexico City this June 15 and the Mexico Series will be featured during the weekend.

NASCAR International currently sanctions series under its umbrella in Mexico, Canada, Brazil and Europe.
