Not bad for a substitute.

Tony Stewart has become the first person to notch victories in IndyCar, the NASCAR Cup Series and the NHRA Top Fuel class by winning the 4-Wide Nationals at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Stewart has been driving his wife Leah Pruett’s car for the past two seasons as she takes a maternity leave from racing.

It was Stewart’s second final in a row after the Winternationals in Pomona, Calif., where he smoked his tires off the line and lost to Clay Millican. This time, Stewart lined up next to defending champion Antron Brown, Jasmine Salinas and Justin Ashley.

Ashely and Brown beat Stewart of the line, but he hooked up for the lowest ET at 3.870 secs as the engines of Salinas and Brown blew.

Austin Prock won the Funny Car class and claimed the 301st win for John Force Racing by beating Tony Stewart Racing’s Matt Hagan, Dave Richards and Paul Lee.

The Pro Stock class was won by Dallas Glenn who beat his teammate Greg Anderson for the first time in five straight final matchups, but also had to beat Matt Latino and Matt Hartford to grab the Wally in Las Vegas.
