See It: Brittany Force Sets NHRA Top Fuel Record With 341.59-mph Run

NHRA Top Fuel drag racer Brittany Force broke her own top speed record during qualifying for the Four-Wide Nationals in Charlotte on Friday.
Force put down a 3.667 second run at 341.59 mph in second round of qualifying to become the first Top Fuel driver to break the 340 mph mark.
Force had run 338.94 mph in 2022, but took advantage of the cool evening qualifying session in Charlotte to also hit 301 mph at the eighth-mile mark on her way to the new 1,000-foot record. “She was flying on that run,” Force said.
Force’s John Force Racing teammate Austin Prock became the first Funny Car driver to go faster than 340 mph at an NHRA event last November during the finals in Pomona with a 341.68 mph run that was just a couple of ticks faster than hers.
Force was knocked out of the Charlotte event in the semi finals and Shawn Langdon went on to win the final while Prock to the Funny Car class win.
