US-Built Hyundai Ioniq 9 EV Priced At $60,555

It’s a tariff-free EV.
Hyundai has confirmed pricing for the new Ioniq 9, which will be built at a new factory in Georgia and avoid the new 25% tariff on imported vehicles.
The three-row battery-powered SUV will start at $60,555 and qualifies for the full $7,500 federal tax credit on electric vehicle purchases.
The entry-level RWD S features a 215 hp motor and 335 miles of range between charges.

The Ioniq 9 is also available in two trims with 303 hp all-wheel-drive systems and 320 miles of range and three trims with 422 hp all-wheel-drive systems and 311 miles of range. The top of the line AWD Performance Calligraphy Design is priced at at $78,090, which gets it in under the $80,000 tax credit cut-off for SUVs.

The Ioniq 9 comes standard with the Tesla-style NACS charge plug and can be used at the latest (V3) Tesla Supercharger stations while it can be charged from 10% to 80% full at a DC Fast charger using a CCS plug adapter.

Hyundai has also started building most versions of the smaller Ioniq 5 in Georgia including the off-road XRT trim. The automaker’s president and CEO, José Muñoz was at The White House in March to tout the $21 billion it plans to invest in U.S. manufacturing through 2028.
