Ram 1500 Express Pickup Returns for $44,495
Ram has launched a product onslaught that the brand’s CEO Tim Kuniskis said will include 25 new models and trims through 2026 and it’s off to a fast start with the new 2026 1500 Express.
The value and style-oriented Express was last offered in 2023 and borrows its name from a 1939 Dodge T-Series truck.
“The Express is the latest drop in Ram’s product offensive,” Kuniskis said in a news release. “The sunset of our Ram 1500 Classic makes the Express a natural front-runner.”
The 1500 express starts at $44,495 and comes standard as a rear-wheel-drive Quad Cab with a 305 hp V6, but is available with Ram’s 420 hp “Hurricane” turbocharged straight-six for an extra $1,695. Rear-wheel-drive Crew Cab ($47,245) and four-wheel-drive Quad Cab ($48,345) and Crew Cab ($51,095) configurations are also available.

The 1500 Express comes with black headlight bezels and interior trim and a suite of electronic driver aids that includes pedestrian-detecting automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control.

The four-wheel-drive trucks are also offered with a $995 Black Express package that adds a sport hood, black badgin and 20-inch wheels, side steps, LED fog lamps, swaps the front split-bench seat for cloth buckets with a center console and upgrades the instrument cluster with a seven-inch digital display.
Along with Diamond Black, the 1500 Express can be ordered in Bright White, Granite Crystal, Forged Blue and Hydro Blue paint colors, with the first deliveries scheduled for the third quarter of 2025.

Ram has a major announcement on June 8, but hasn’t yet indicated what it is for. The brand is slated to introduce a new midsize pickup in the U.S. next year as a 2027 model, however, so that would be a likely candidate. However, it is also expected to reintroduce V8 engines into its light duty pickup lineup for 2026 after eliminating them for the 2025 model year.
