First Look: US-Built 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Revealed

Toyota’s smallest SUV is getting a makeover. The 2026 Corolla Cross has been revealed with fresh styling and an updated interior.
The subcompact SUV is built in Huntsville, Ala., making it exempt from the new import tariffs on assembled vehicles, although it does use some foreign content that could be subject to parts tariffs.
The model will continue to be offered with the choice of all-gas and hybrid powertrains, both built around 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines. The gas model is rated at 169 hp and gets 32 mpg. combined in front wheel drive versions, 30 mpg with all-wheel-drive, while the hybrid is an all-wheel-drive setup that adds three electric motors and is good for 42 mpg.
Their exteriors are differentiated by a black egg crate grille on the gas version and and body colored front fascia perforated by holes on the hybrid. The interior’s redesign includes a new center console and an available 10.5-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system.

Gas models will be offered in L, LE and XLE trims and hybrids in S, SE and XSE with heated front seats and steering wheels standard on the top trims.

Prices will be announced closer to when the 2026 Corolla Cross goes on sale later this year. The 2025 model ranges from around $24,500 to $33,000 and is the second-cheapest vehicle currently built in the U.S. behind the Corolla sedan.

Toyota sold 93,021 Corolla Crosses in 2024 to make it the brand’s second-best selling SUV, although it was a very distant second to the Rav4’s 475,193 sales.
