The Electric Dodge Charger Daytona R/T Is Dead For Now

Dodge has confirmed that it is putting the Charger Daytona R/T on hiatus and that it won’t be available when the 2026 model year arrives.
The news comes days after Mopar Insiders reported that the model would be discontinued and that just the top of the line Scat Pack would be offered next year.
Dodge has now confirmed the decision, saying that it was due to the uncertainty of the tariff situation and low demand for the R/T, thousands of which are currently available in dealer inventory. The Charger Daytona is assembled at a factory in Canada and is subject to a 25% import tax.
The R/T has an all-wheel-drive system rated at 496 hp and a starting price of $61,590 while the Scat Pack is rated at 670 hp and lists for $75,980 in the latest configuration.

Pricing for the 2026 Scat Pack has not been announced, but Mopar Insiders reported that it will be getting a price cut.

Dodge will be expanding the Charger lineup, however, with a four-door model and the addition of the Charger Sixpack later this year, which is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder gas engine.
