This Is (Probably) The Last Brand New Chevy Camaro Left — UPDATE: It’s Gone

Chevrolet Camaro production ended on December 14, 2023, but some of Chevy’s last pony cars have been lingering on dealer lots. A few thousand were sitting in stock when the plug got pulled on the model with no planned replacement, and there wasn’t a mad rush to swipe them up.
Their numbers have been slowly declining over the past eighteen months, but extinction may finally be upon us. Car shopping websites show fewer than 20 new Camaro listings for 2023 and 2024 models, but many of them that we checked into are out of date and the cars are already gone. The official Chevrolet online portal is complete empty.
Several of of the cars that are still available and being sold as “new” actually have hundreds or thousands of miles on their odometers and are likely dealer demo cars finally being put up for sale. In fact, there appears to be just one truly new Camaro left.
The white 2024 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible is at Emich Chevrolet in Lakewood, Colorado and the dealer confirmed to American Cars And Racing that it is still available. It is a 3LT trim with a 3.6-liter V6 and 10-speed automatic transmission and is advertised with one mile on its odometer.

The coupe is equipped with the optional RS package, a dual-mode performance exhaust, rally stripes, 20-inch five-spoke Carbon Flash-painted wheels, a Ceramic White interior package and several other options that bring its sticker price to $51.315. However, it is listed at a discounted $50,599.

Now, we can’t guarantee that we haven’t missed a car somewhere in the country, or that another one might pop up out of hiding, but this certainly looks like the last one and, aside from not being a V8, looks like a pretty good one to send off the model.

We will now begin the countdown to the last of the Dodge Challengers, which also ended production in December 2023. Dodge cranked up assembly near the end to fill dealer lots until the Charger Daytona made it to showrooms, so there was a larger supply of them than Camaros, but there are now fewer than 300 still out there.

As for the whereabouts of the last street legal Camaro off of the production line, Chevrolet never confirmed what happened to it. All we know is that it was a top of the line ZL1 1LE trim with a manual transmission.
REPORT: NEW CAMARO PLANS ‘BLOWN APART’
That wasn’t technically the last Camaro completed, however. Chevrolet also offered the track only drag racing COPO Camaro, which used the production body, but was completed at the COPO Build Center Oxford, Mich., and it didn’t finish up until the middle of August, 2024. Chevrolet only built 69 as a tribute to the first COPO Camaro from 1969, but it kept the last one for itself.

It was the only one equipped with a 427 V8 with forged internals, a billet steel crankshaft, billet aluminum manifold, aluminum heads and 4500-style throttle bodies with huge trumpets sticking out of a custom aluminum hood. The engine has a 9,500 rpm redline and sends 971 hp and 597 lb-ft of torque to therear wheels through a TH400 three-speed automatic. Wheelie bars and a chute were included in the build.

That car now lives in the GM Heritage Collection of historically important vehicles and won’t ever put its engine to the test, but you can still put that V6 in the car at Emich Chevrolet to work if you hurry.
UPDATE: the dealer has informed us that the vehicle was sold following this report’s publication
