Atlanta Motor Speedway Is Changing Its Name

Atlanta Motor Speedway is now known as EchoPark Speedway as part of a new promotional agreement.

The track’s owner, Speedway Motorsports and the EchoPark Automotive used car dealership network share ownership.

The change is effective immediately and new signage will be in place before the NASCAR Cup Series Quaker State 400 on June 28, which will be the first of five races broadcast on TNT this season.

“We’re thrilled to partner with an innovative, customer-focused company like EchoPark Automotive as the entitlement partner of our newly named EchoPark Speedway,” Speedway Motorsports President and CEO Marcus Smith said in a news release.

The track first opened in 1960 and Dale Earnhardt holds the record with nine wins on the 1.5-mile track, which as been redesigned several times. Most recently, it was reconfigured into a Superspeedway in 2022 with high banking that allows Cup Series cars to drive full throttle in a drafting pack the entire way around.

It was the site of a thrilling three-way photo finish in 2024 when Daniel Suarez beat Ryan Blaney by just .003 seconds, with Kyle Busch .007 seconds behind.

The winner of the upcoming race will receive a “nearly new” EchoPark Chevy Silverado and a trailer equipped with an 85th Anniversary, Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Limited Edition Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
