The Ram Hemi V8 Is Back! So What Is The Cheapest V8-Powered Pickup Now?

Ram has resurrected its 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine and is reintroduce the option for the 2026 model year 1500 pickup, which starts shipping this summer.
The eTorque mild hybrid engine is rated at 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque and will be priced at a $1,200 premium compared to the 420 hp standard output turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder Hurricane engine that was meant to replace it.
Exact prices for V8-powered 2026 trucks haven’t been released yet, and the ongoing tariff situation could change things a lot in the next couple of months, but here’s how the Ram would stack up against the competition if it were on sale this year:
RAM 1500: $46,265

The lowest priced Ram 1500 Tradesman is a V6-powered Quad Cab with a 6.5-foot bed at $42,370, but applying the announced premium for the V8 would get that to $46,265.
