It’s a very special delivery. The first Ford Mustang GTD window sticker has surfaced on the internet and it reveals several interesting details about the model.

The document posted to the Mustang7G forum is for a standard Frozen White GTD with Ebony upholstery and a couple of options.

The GTD was expected to cost around $325,000 and the official MSRP is listed at $318,760, but that’s before the mandatory $5,500 delivery charge is factored in. Ford confirmed the authenticity of the sticker to Car and Driver. The 815 hp car also has an EPA combined fuel economy rating of just 12 mpg, which earns it a $3,700 gas guzzler tax, so the lowest price you can apparently pay is $327,960.

The $5,500 amount represents a very high shipping fee for a vehicle from a volume brand, but the Mustang GTD isn’t exactly a high volume model. While the body-in-white is built at Ford’s Flat Rock Assembly plant in Michigan, the GTD’s final assembly is completed by Multimatic in Ontario, Canada, where all of its speciality bodywork and high performance chassis equipment is installed. Multimatic also built the $450,000 2017-2022 Ford GT, which had a shipping fee of $3,750 in 2017, according to the window sticker from Jay Leno’s car.

Ferrari charges $5,000 to ship the $340,000 296 GTB from Italy, but Porsche’s fee for the German-built $225,000 911 GT3 that the Mustang GTD competes with is just $1,450.

Closer to home, the shipping fee for the Kentucky-built $175,195 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, which is the Mustang GTD’s top rival from an American brand, is $1,850. The 1,064 hp Corvette ZR1’s gas guzzler tax is also lower than the Mustang GTD’s at $3,000, thanks to its 14 mpg combined fuel economy rating.

Mustang GTD reservation holders probably aren’t sweating the shipping charge, however, as the limited availability model will surely increase in value dramatically, based on GT prices, which went up by multiples as soon as deliveries began. Of course, they’re going to have to wait a bit to realize any gains, as buyers must agree to a no flipping policy that prohibits them from reselling their vehicles for at least two years.
