The new Tesla Model Y is a big deal, so to speak. The Tesla Model Y L is a new three-row version of the compact SUV that is going on sale first in China later this year.

Tesla has posted a teaser image of the vehicle on its Chinese social media channels, but official filings with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology include more photos and information.

The car is about seven inches longer than the standard Model Y and has a six-inch longer wheelbase, according to Car News China.

The seating arrangement listed is for three rows of two seats each, but interior photos are not included in the ministry listing. The vehicle will launch with an all-wheel-drive system that is rated at 456 hp.

The Model Y logo has been updated with a design that adds two shadows to the Y, which give the impression that it is longer and has three rows of seats.

Tesla hasn’t announced plans to introduce the Model Y L in the U.S., but it did previously sell a three-row, seven-passenger version of the Model Y that was often criticized for a lack of legroom and headroom in the third row that made it suitable only for small children, at best. The Model Y was updated this year, but a seven-passenger version is not offered.

It isn’t unusual for Tesla to launch a new model in China, where it builds the Model Y and Model 3 for local sales, before adding it to its U.S. and European factories.
