It will definitely turn heads at the drive-in!

Celebrity chef Guy Fieri is a certified car nut who owns an amazing collection of American muscle cars, but his latest purchase is a monstrous Jeep called the Hellfire 6×6.

Fieri’s new ride is featured in the first episode of the Discovery series “Truck Dynasty” that premieres on August 12. The show chronicles the business of Florida custom truck builder Apocalypse Manufacturing, which is famous for its outrageous creations.

The Hellfire is based on the Jeep Gladiator pickup, but the final product is nothing like the truck that comes out of the factory.

Apocalypse gives the Gladiator a four-inch lift, stretches the frame and adds an extra driveshaft and third axle to turn the 4×4 into a 6×6. A variety of engine options are available, but Fieri’s truck is equipped with a 800 hp version of the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that was used in the Ram 150 TRX pickup.

Apocalypse’s headquarters is located not far from the Everglades in Pompano Beach and many of its customers really use their trucks to go driving in the swamps between nights out in South Beach, so the design is as much about function as it is about fashion.

Nevertheless, the extreme body kit that includes “angry eye” headlights and a jutting grille and bumper combination known as a “grumper” that make it look like more like the alien from Predator than a Gladiator.

Fieri, who owns a home and several restaurants in the Sunshine State, didn’t just want an old truck, however, so he sent it back to Apocalypse for restoration and they updated it with a few unique features while it was there.

They include Cowboy Saddle leather upholstery with Fieri’s “Knuckle Sandwich” brand logo, an infrared night vision camera mounted to the roof and a pull-out kitchen in the bed with two pizza ovens and a grille, which was a surprise for Fieiri.

Fieri looked very pleased with the final product on the show and loved the engine, exclaiming “that’s the greatest sound in the world,” after flooring the gas pedal. While his truck is very much one-of-a-kind, Apocalypse will be happy to buyld you a new one to your own specifications at a starting price of around $190,000.
