Motorcycle stuntman and X Games champion Colby Raha has set a new jump record on a Harley V-twin.

The 30-year-old jumped a modified Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 205 feet at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally on Saturday. The Jump was between two ramps and broke Seth Enslow’s 15-year-old 183-foot record.

Raha wore black leathers with a red, white and blue stars and stripes design for the jump that was inspired by Evil knievel’s iconic suit.

“On this level, it takes a team, it’s not all about me, I do it with my crew in order to pull it off,” Raha said after the jump.

Raha took four jumps to break the record due to a short run-up at the venue that made it tough to reach the required take-off speed. He tied the record on the first jump, but needed three more to get where he needed to be.

“I would’ve loved to break it on the first try, I would’ve love to break it on the second, I couldn’t believe I didn’t do it on the third, but all I had to do different was, instead of hauling it as fast as I could go, and, I had to leave it wide-open off the lip. I think if the parking lot was 10-foot shorter, I wouldn’t have been able to do it,” Raha said.

Raha’s record far surpassed Knievel’s longest landed jump, which was set at 133 feet in 1975 and stood for 24 years.

Raha also recently claimed the record for the longest jump landing on a flat surface, when he jumped 199 over 23 BMWs on a motocross bike in Palm Springs, Calif.
