The Lucid Gravity X Was Built To Rock … Crawl

The Lucid Gravity is the most efficient large SUV on the road and it might soon claim that title off-road.
Lucid has built a concept called the Gravity X (pronounced “Gravity Cross”) that reimagines the sleek three-row SUV as a rugged adventure vehicle.
Lucid took a Gravity Grand Touring and lifted the suspension, widened the track, added oversize tires and redesigned the front and rear fascias to make them tougher and create better approach angles.
A modular roof rack is equipped with lights, attachment points and a storage box while tow hooks are installed in both bumpers.

Lucid hasn’t confirmed plans to offer it as a model, but is showing it to potential customers during Monterey Car week and will have it on display during the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 17.

The street version of the Gravity Grand Touring that’s on sale right now has a starting price of around $95,000 and comes with an 828 hp all-wheel-drive system and 450 miles of range.

The Arizona-built Gravity went on sale this year, but has had a slow ramp up due to supplier issues. Only a few hundred have been delivered to customers so far, but Lucid expects it to outsell its Air sedan when it reaches volume production.
