It was Heim time again!

Two races after clinching the NASCAR Truck Series regular season title at Indianapolis Raceway Park, Corey Heim but a bow on it by etching his name in the history books.

The Tricon Garage driver won the eero 250 at Richmond Raceway to notch his 18th career Truck Series win at age 23 to break a then-25-year-old Kyle Busch’s record reaching the mark. Busch won six more races during the 2010 season that he reached 18, which sets up Heim to claim more records with each additional win he gets this year.

The Richmond win was his first on a short track and came after Ty Majeski swept the first two stages in hte No. 98 truck, but got spun by contact with his teammate, Matt Crafton, late in the race and ended up settling for second ahead of Layne Riggs.

“Felt like we were the best truck at Martinsville and North Wilkesboro, but they got away from us and we kind of got this one back I didn’t feel like we were the best truck tonight. I feel like the 98 was really stout, but obviously had a run-in and got some damage,” Heim said.

“Being there when it counted was the first goal and we were and just able to execute from there.”

The night also finalized the top 10 playoff spots led by Heim with Riggs, Chandler Smith, Daniel Hemric, Tyler Ankrum, and Rajah Caruth securing berths with wins, while Grant Enfinger, Ty Majeski, Kaden Honeycutt and Jake Garcia made it in on points.
