You Can Get A 700 hp Ford F-150 Sport Truck For $54,225 Now
The new Ford F-150 Lobo is the brand’s sportiest street truck and comes with a 400 hp 5.0-liter V8 and lowered suspension for $59,995 in a crew cab model, but you can get a lot more performance in an F-150 for less.
The Ford Performance catalog is now selling a 50-state legal FP700S kit for the F-150 that includes a supercharger for the 5.0-lier V8 that cranks it up to 700 hp. It also comes with a rear lowering kit and new dampers plus unique 22-inch wheels, a lip splitter and FP700S trim badges all for $13,250. Ford announced the kit last fall, but it was only recently added to the catalog with a price.
But while the Lobo is based on the F-150 STX trim, the FP700S is compatible with the Lariat, XLT, STX and entry-level XL, and you can get one of those with the kit for a combined $59,540, not counting labor if you don’t want to do the work yourself.
Even better for bargain sport truck fans, the kit is compatible for Super Cab F-150s and Ford sells one for regular cab models, so you can make an even sportier two-door XL with a bench seat for as little as $54,255. Ford is offering it in Bronze and Black versions, with different color schemes for the wheels and trim.

Ford Performance will also sell you the supercharger by itself for $9,850 and that can be used on the F-150 Lobo or any model with a 5.0-liter V8.

If you want a supercharged F-150 from the factory, you’ll have to step up — quite literally — into the high-riding F-150 Raptor R off-road model, which comes with a 720 hp supercharged 5.2-liter V8. But Ford may have to step up its game soon.

That’s because the Ram 1500 TRX is coming back next year and will likely be looking to outdo its only direct rival again. The 2024 1500 TRX was powered by a 702 hp supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that made it the most powerful V8 pickup before the 2024 F-150 Raptor R arrived, so it’s hard to believe Ram would come back with less this time around.

There’s plenty of potential left in the 6.2-liter V8, as versions of it have been used in Dodge muscle cars with up to 900 hp running on gas and 1,025 hp burning E85.

Ford’s 5.2-liter V8 might not be done, either, as the last Shelby GT500’s version of the engine was rated at 760 hp. Nevertheless, it’s a very different application in the F-150 Raptor R, which launched in 2023 with 700 hp before a new hood inner was designed to give it enough air intake to get to 720 hp.
