Official: Ram Returning To NASCAR Truck Series With Kaulig Racing

A herd of Ram pickups are going to be racing in the NASCAR Truck Series next year.
The automaker confirmed at Daytona on Saturday that it is teaming up with Kaulig Racing for its return to the series.
Kaulig currently fields two chartered cars in the Cup Series and three Xfinity Series entries with Chevrolet.
“This partnership represents far more than a new chapter in Kaulig Racing’s history, it’s a union of shared values,” Matt Kaulig, owner of Kaulig Racing, said in a news release. “Over the past decade, our team has built a legacy rooted in performance, integrity, and giving back to the community. To now join forces as the anchor team for Ram’s return to NASCAR is both an honor and a responsibility. Together, we’re ready to set a new standard on race day and in the impact we make off the track.”

The team plans to run several entries with up to five Ram trucks entered in some events.
“We needed a partner that truly aligns with the Ram brand and embraces our unconventional approach to NASCAR,” Tim Kuniskis, Ram CEO, said. “With Kaulig Racing, we found the perfect synergy to drive our ’Last Tenth’ culture forward.”

When he announced Ram’s plan to reenter the Truck Series earlier this year, Kuniskis said he was hoping to have four trucks or more to be a competitive team.
Ram and Dodge last raced with factory support in NASCAR in 2012 and Kuniskis, who is also head of all of the American Stellantis brands, said the company intends to be back in the Cup Series in a couple of years.
