Who Is In The 2025 NASCAR Playoffs? These Are The 16 Drivers That Made It

The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs field was set at the Coke Zero Sugar 400 in Daytona as Ryan Blaney won in a four-wide finish.
The result locked the field for the 10-race postseason that kicks off at Darlington Raceway on Aug. 31.
Sixteen drivers will compete in three knockout rounds of three races each until there are four left who will compete for the Bill France Cup and the title of NASCAR Cup Series Champion at Phoenix Raceway on Nov. 2.
Here are the drivers that made the cut and where they are seeded.
16. ALEX BOWMAN

Bowman was on the cutline at Daytona and would’ve been knocked out if there was a new winner and was so happy to see Blaney pick up his second win of the season. He said he owes him “seven million beers,” but Blaney said he’ll settle for five million.

15. AUSTIN DILLON

Dillon left it late to make the playoffs by winning at Richmond Raceway for the second year in a row in the penultimate regular season race. Last year’s win didn’t count for a playoff berth because he caused an illegal wreck at the finish, but this year he was in the clear and even won with a broken rib.
14. TYLER REDDICK

With five top five finishes and nine top 10s, Reddick finished the regular season in seventh place as the driver with the most points without a win.
13. JOSH BERRY

Berry got his first career win at Las Vegas in March, but only managed another four top 10 finishes and will start the playoffs as the first driver below the cutline for round two.

12. JOEY LOGANO

Defending champ Logano only won once at Texas Motor Speedway and finished the regular season in 12th position, which is where he was also seeded for the playoffs.
11. ROSS CHASTAIN

Chastain won NASCAR’s longest race in Charlotte at the Coca-Cola 600 and The Watermelon Man will start the playoffs in 11th.
10. AUSTIN CINDRIC

Cindric beat Ryan Preece by a nose at Talladega to steal a spot in the playoffs from his fellow Ford driver.
9. BUBBA WALLACE

Bubba got to kiss the bricks at Indianapolis after winning the Brickyard 400 and added nine top 10 finishes for his best-ever Cup Series regular season result.
8. CHASE BRISCOE

Briscoe impressed his new boss with a win at Pocono in his first year driving for Joe Gibbs Racing.
7. CHASE ELLIOTT

NASCAR’s most popular driver and Georgia native Elliott won his home state race at EchoPark Speedway with a last-lap pass to grab a spot in the playoffs and delight the fans.
6. SHANE VAN GISBERGEN

Van Gisbergen was the undisputed king of the road, winning four of six road and street course races to overcome a 25th place points finish during the regular season.
5. CHRISTOPHER BELL

Bell won one of the other road course races at Circuit of The Americas, plus two more in Atlanta and Phoenix. He also won the $1 million All-Star Race for good measure and a fat check.
4. RYAN BLANEY

Blaney had already booked at ticket to the playoffs at Nashville before wrapping up the regular season on a high note at Daytona.
3. DENNY HAMLIN

Hamlin won four races including Martinsville for the sixth time in his Cup Series career, which is the most of any active driver. The 44-year-old will looking to add more after signing a multi-year extension to his contract with Joe Gibbs Racing.
2. WILLIAM BYRON

Daytona 500-winner Byron was the regular season champion with two wins, but ended up the second seed after playoff points were added in to the total.
1. KYLE LARSON

Byron, Elliott and Bowman’s Hendrick Motorsports teammate Larson finished the regular season with three wins and nine stage wins and will roll into Darlington on top of the standings for the start of the playoffs.
