Hennessey’s 700 HP Ram 1500 RHO Mammoth 700 Is A Turbocharged Raptor-Hunting Truck

The high performance Ram 1500 TRX isn’t coming back until next year, but Hennessey has something to tide you over until then.
The Texas tuning house has released its new Mammoth 700 Ram RHO, which is an amped-up version of the factory Ram 1500 RHO that was named US-Built Truck Of The YearTM.
The work starts under the hood, where Hennessey upgrades the turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six with more boost, a new engine calibration and a stainless steel exhaust that increases its output from 540 hp to 700 hp. That’s nearly identical to the old TRX’s 702 hp supercharged 6.2-liter V8.
It also lifts the suspension three inches, straps on 20-inch wheels with 37-inch tires, and adds high performance brake calipers, rotors and stainless steel brake lines.

Hennessey-branded steel bumpers and skid plate, exterior badges and auxiliary lighting are functional for off-roading, but also enhance the RHO’s rugged looks.

Power side steps make it easier to get up and into the cabin, which gets all-weather floor mats, Hennessey upholstery and a metal center console Molle rack.

The build is $70,000 on top of the purchase price for an RHO and additional options are available. A stock Ram RHO starts at $72,090. The 2024 TRX maxed out at around $120,000.

Ram has confirmed that the TRX is returning to the lineup next year, but not any details about it, including how much power it will have. The Ford F-150 Raptor R is the new king of V8 pickups with a 720 hp supercharged 5.2-liter V8, so it’s more than likely the new TRX will have more than that.

There’s no telling how much more, but it probably still won’t be enough for some folks, which is where Hennessey comes in again. Last year, it offered a Mammoth 1000 TRX build with a 1,019 hp version of the V8.
