The Ram 1500 RHO Sounds Pissed Off Now

The rhino is angry!
The Ram 1500 RHO is one of the most fun high performance off-road pickups on sale today, we wouldn’t have named it the 2025 US-Built Truck Of The YearTM if it wasn’t, but some customers think its missing a little something.
The model is basically a Ram 1500 TRX that swapped the old 702 hp supercharged 6.2-liter V8 for a 540 hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six and it lost more than power in the process.
As is typical of turbocharged engines, the Hurricane straight-six’s exhaust isn’t particular loud and can’t hold a candle to the V8’s supercharged scream and growling exhaust, but now there’s a way to turn up the volume
Ram has collaborated with MagnaFlow on two new aftermarket cat-back exhaust systems it is offering through the Direct Connection program and Mopar eStore.

The SPEQ Series is tuned so that it doesn’t drone too much during normal driving, but gets louder under full throttle. It has an x-pipe, dual mufflers, and five-inch black chrome pipe tips and lists for $2,089.

The xMOD Series gets a bit more complicated with all of that plus three swappable modules with increasing levels of volume listed as Street, SPEQ and Comp. Ram says the loudest makes it sound ‘pissed off’.

There are also two additional mid-pipe modules, one with valve-integrated pipes and one with valve delete pipes.
All of the modules are equipped with v-band clamps for easy changes. The xMOD Series is priced at $3,099.

Of course, if you really want a loud off-road Ram 1500, you can just wait until next year when the TRX returns to the lineup. Ram hasn’t yet said how much power it will have this time around, but has confirmed it will have a V8.
