Deliveries of the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 started a couple of months ago, but the supply still hasn’t caught up with demand.

A production stoppage due to a recall hasn’t helped the situation, but resale prices were already sky high before the shutdown.

This despite an anti-flipping stipulation that Corvette ZR1s resold within the first year of ownership will have their warranties voided.

The latest up for grabs was on the Bring a Trailer auction site and the result set a new bar for the model.

The 3LZ coupe had a sticker price of $205,460, which included several options like the ZTK Performance Track Package that boosted it from the Corvette ZR1’s $175,195 base price.

It was listed with just 137 miles on the odometer and had been registered, so it wasn’t being sold as a new car, but the bidding still reached $360,000. Unfortunately for the seller, that wasn’t high enough to reach its unpublished reserve price, so it was not sold.

While there’s no telling what they were looking for, a 3LZ convertible with a $223,045 sticker price was sold at a Manheim auction in August for $391,000.

This kind of valuation likely won’t last much longer once Chevrolet gets production up and running at full steam and the higher-end 1,250 hp Corvette ZR1X arrives in showrooms later this year, but the 2025 models may end up being sought-after collector cars for the long haul.

That’s because they were only built from May into August and the 2026 Corvette got a redesigned interior, which will likely add to the original’s cache when they’re crossing auction blocks many years down the road.
